The Lincoln Memorial builders include Henry Bacon, Daniel Chester French, Jules Guerin, Ernest C. Bairstow, Evelyn Beatrice Longman, and Piccirilli Brothers. Royal Cortissoz drafted the wall inscription that appears above the Lincoln Memorial Statue. Henry Bacon, the architect constructed the Lincoln Memorial after the Parthenon, which is a former temple in Athens, Greece built in 5th Greece. It was constructed between 1914 and 1922. The massive statue is constructed of 28 blocks of white Georgia marble, 99 feet tall, and weighs 175 tons.
